| Step | Description |
| 1 | Select the search connector(s) that you want to add to sharepoint from the Federate Search Connector Gallery for Enterprise Search |
| 2 | On the download page select the file type OSDX |
| 3 | Save the file |
| 4 | Open SharePoint Administration Page, select Application Management : Manage service applications |
| 5 | Select Search Service Application |
| 6 | Select Federate Locations |
| 7 | Select Import Location |
| 8 | Inport the file you downloaded from the web gallery |
| 9 | A confirmation is displayed after the upload |
| 10 | On a results page in the Search Center, on the Site Actions menu, click Edit Page. |
| 11 | Click the zone where you want to add the Web Part, and then add the Federated Results Web Part, Top Federated Results Web Part, or Core Results Web Part to the page. |
| 12 | Right-click the Web Part, and then click Properties. In the Web Part Properties panel, expand Location Properties, on the Location drop-down list, select the location that you imported, and then click OK. On the ribbon, click Stop Editing. |
