SharePoint 2010: Federate Search : Adding a location

Step Description
1Select the search connector(s) that you want to add to sharepoint from the Federate Search Connector Gallery for Enterprise Search
2On the download page select the file type OSDX
3Save the file
4Open SharePoint Administration Page, select Application Management : Manage service applications
5Select Search Service Application
6Select Federate Locations
7Select Import Location
8Inport the file you downloaded from the web gallery
9A confirmation is displayed after the upload
10On a results page in the Search Center, on the Site Actions menu, click Edit Page.
11Click the zone where you want to add the Web Part, and then add the Federated Results Web Part, Top Federated Results Web Part, or Core Results Web Part to the page.
12Right-click the Web Part, and then click Properties.
In the Web Part Properties panel, expand Location Properties, on the Location drop-down list, select the location that you imported, and then click OK.
On the ribbon, click Stop Editing.
